Two of boxing’s most dominant forces are set to clash in a once-in-a-generation showdown when Canelo Alvarez and Terence “Bud” Crawford meet on September 14 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Canelo (63-2-2, 39 KOs), the unified WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF super middleweight champion, will defend his titles against the undefeated, four-division champion Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs), who is making the bold move up to 168 pounds for this blockbuster bout.
The 35-year-old Canelo, currently ranked No. 8 on ESPN’s pound-for-pound list, comes into the fight fresh off a May victory over William Scull, reclaiming his status as the undisputed champion at 168 pounds.
Crawford, ranked No. 3 pound-for-pound by ESPN, returns to the ring after a year away. The 37-year-old southpaw last fought in August 2024, when he captured the WBA junior middleweight title from Israil Madrimov.
